I am thinking through an idea. What causes some to step up and take on their responsibilities in the Great Commission, while others never seem to embrace theirs? For years, I have tried to encourage the guys around me to step up and find their place in God’s mission. Some, for sure, have done so, while others seem never to get clarity.

In this simple manuscript, I am batting around an idea of generational leadership. But it is very much in DRAFT state. But I wonder if there aren’t some big ideas that we need to pass on to the next generation. This is an attempt.

The verse that got me thinking about it was Acts 13:36- For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep.
